The support of UN organizations to the Saharawi people will continue, assures official

Shaheed Al Hafed (Saharawi refugee camps), Oct 31, 2011 (SPS) - The Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Western Sahara, Mr. Hany Abdel-Aziz, assured Sunday the UN organization “will continue to supporting the Saharawi refugees,” after he was received at headquarters of the Saharawi Republic by the Prime Minister, Mr. Abdelkader Taleb Omar.

In his speech to the national media, Mr. Abdel-Aziz confirmed that the recent terrorist operation targeting European cooperators “will not have an effect on the staff working in the Saharawi refugee camps.”

From his part, the Saharawi prime minister emphasized that the Saharawi state is working to protect all the nationals who operate the humanitarian action of the international organizations and NGOs inside the Saharawi refugee camps.

UN official visit to the Saharawi refugee camps comes within the framework of the solidarity with the Saharawi people following the cowardly act on three European cooperators. (SPS)
