Russia donates $22 mln to peacekeeping

Russia has contributed $22 million to the UN’s peacekeeping operations in Lebanon, Ivory Coast and in Darfur, Sudan.

According to UN figures, 232 Russian peacekeepers, including police officers, military advisors and soldiers, are currently engaged in five UN-sponsored peacekeeping operations in Western Sahara, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kosovo and in Haiti.
