President of Republic meets delegations participating in Algeria international conference

Algiers, Oct 30, 2011 (SPS) - The President of the Republic and Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz, has met heads of delegations participating in the 2nd international conference on the peoples’ right to resistance: case of the Saharawi, held on October 29-30, 2011 in the Algerian capital.

The Saharawi President informed the participating delegations about the latest developments on the question of Western Sahara especially ongoing negotiations course, human rights violations in the occupied territories and Moroccan looting to the Saharawi natural resources.

During the meeting, Mr. Mohamed Abdelaziz reaffirmed the resolve and strong will of the Saharawis to continue struggling for liberating the territories occupied by the Kingdom of Morocco in order “to complete the establishment of the independent democratic Saharawi state over its full national soil.”

He appreciated the Conference in condemning the recent terrorist incident on 3 European aid workers in the Saharawi refugee camps, denouncing all the political motivations to decrease the humanitarian assistance for the Saharawi refugees.

The President of the Republic met Secretary General of the Lebanese Communist Party, Tunisian delegation, Lebanon delegation, President of the United Cities and Local Governments of Africa, Mauritanian delegation, AU Counselor for Social Affairs, President of the American Foundation for Solidarity with the Saharawi people, Representative of the African Women, representative of Tariqa Tijaniyya in West Africa, representative of the Argentinean mothers “Plaza May”, president of the African Organization for Senegal, a member of the Mexican Senate, French-Western Sahara Friendship Group, Italian-Saharawi Friendship Group, the Belgian Association of Solidarity with the Saharawi people.
