Algeria condemns the kidnapping of 03 European in the south

Algeria has condemned the abduction of three European nationals, two Spaniards and an Italian, in the Sahrawi refugee camp, near Tindouf, said Sunday Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"I confirm the information and of course we condemn with the utmost force this criminal act. Although it seems to be the work of a terrorist group, for the moment, I prefer to reserve my comment until the confirmation of the information elements of the kidnappers and their motivations," said the spokesman of the ministry, Amar Belani, in a written statement to the French press agency.

Two Spaniards and an Italian woman were kidnapped in the night from Saturday to Sunday near Tindouf in southern Algeria.

The ambassador of Western Sahara to Algiers Brahim Ghali blamed the terrorist organization of Al-Qaeda in Islamic Maghreb to be behind the kidnapping.

"I directly accuse Al Qaeda in Islamic Maghreb to be behind the kidnapping of three foreign nationals," he told reporters. <
